Dinosaur Photomontage by Sabbathcat85 Dinosaur Photomontage by Sabbathcat85
It's probably a huge image, for which I'm sorry. Probably not the best idea to view it full size or anything. I was having difficulty with resizing in photoshop already and I didn't want to lose too much quality.

[I would also like to say that I do not own any of the pictures used in the photomontage. Credit given below after explanation of sorts.]

Moving on to the art!
First, this is one of two photomanipulation type pictures I've done so far for my Computer Graphics class. The other is a veggie painting that I had to abandon due for the above project. I just haven't gotten back to it. The point of this picture was to mash up a bunch of seemingly unrelated photos (such as various celebrities placed in the Last Supper).
Trying to come up with a scene that was at least somewhat different proved to be a challenge. Eventually I came to the conclusion that no matter what, there were going to be dinosaurs with at least 1 parasaurolophus.
Originally, the dinosaurs were going to be ridden by jockeys (possibly a friend of mine's roommate) but because I was running short on time and the pictures didn't match up in a good way, I had to nix that idea.
What I had left was the picture you see above.

I think it's pretty spiffy. Especially for something I did with barely any knowledge of CS5. (Also, I got a B on it.)

Now for the credit!

Have you seen or read Dinotopia? Cuz you nailed the basic idea there.

1. Nice double post :)
2. I have seen Dinotopia. It's one of my favorite movies. I have yet to read the books though, but it is on my list of things to read.
3. I actually didn't have Dinotopia in mind when I did this, but afterward I saw the resemblance. Still awesome though.

:D Your stock was actually one of the better that I found. I found a lot that were these cheap looking statues and what not and they just couldn't be used. Or they had people in them that ruined the shot.

Yeah. :( The thing that sucked is that the exhibit was indoors, and obviously the dinosaurs were life-size, so for many of them, there was no way for me to take a full-body shot. And there were screaming kids everywhere. Such is life.
